Street Based Youth Workers (Dowlais & Pant)
Have you say!  If you would like to create your own Youth Forum and if you have any suggestions to improve your local area or clubs e.g., summer projects, sports equipment, computer skills, and taster days.  We may be able to help please leave a message with your name and a place for us to contact you at e.g., school or youth club.  At one of these places:  Contact Peta Rogers or Peter Toomey at The Dowlais Forum, The Engine House, Info Shop Merthyr, Gwernllwyn Primary School, Pant Primary School, Pen-y-Dre Youth Club, Community Centre Dowlais or Trax Youth Club Dowlais.

P.C.S.O Blue Light Disco (THE DISCO HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) Thank You.
The Disco will be starting back up on Wednesday 8th November for ages 11 – 17’s then every Wednesday after at the Catholic Club, Dowlais from 7.30pm – 10.00pm.  £2.00 entrance, come along with all your mates and listen to some great music. Cinema Club

Every Wednesday 5pm - 7pm All Saints Church Hall, Dowlais for 7-11 year olds.  Children under 7 are also welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.  With all the latest films to watch come and have some fun.  For any further information please contact the Forum on (01685 724930). 

Trax Youth Club DowlaisTrax will reopen on Thursday 7th September at 6.00pm.  All young people aged between 11 and 18 are more than welcome to attend. Trax is open every Monday and Thursday between 6.00pm – 8.00pm.  Come along we have a pool table, air hockey table, Play Station 2 games, great CD’s and much more things to do.
 

Girls Football, Players Required
Would you like to play Girls football? Girls football is the fastest growing sport in the country. It is now classed as the most popular girls sport in the country. It is now classed as the most popular girls sport in the uk. There are plenty of opportunities for girls to enjoy, train or play competitive football within Merthyr Tydfil. Merthyr Saints are looking for new players to train and play in local and/or South Wales Girls leagues. Weekly training session will be held by Female coaches who hold football association of Wales qualifications. Merthyr Saints are a friendly and sociable club who are looking for girl football players of all abilities between 8 and 14. Training takes place on Wednesdays at the ICI football field in Pant between 5.30pm and 6.45pm for further details please contact 01685 724930.

Dowlais Community Play Project
At Pant Park (opposite the Car Auctions) from Monday to Friday Term Time only from 4.00pm ? 5.55pm. Children aged 5-12 years welcome. Work Shops coming up at Trax Youth Club Dowlais

Create Your Own Rap CD!
The Fire Service will soon be running Rap sessions at Trax Youth Building. If you are aged between 11 and 18 contact us and out your name down. There are lots of prizes to be won and every person will get a CD cut with their very own rap story. This will be starting on 19th June, 2006 6.30pm.

Western Spirit Short Course
The Young people?s charity set up by Simon Weston will be running a course on Friday 2nd June 2006 10am at Trax Youth Building. This course is designed to build up confidence among young people by working together to achieve a goal. The experience can be used as a tool in every day life. There are many rewards including prize money.

Moving Movies
Moving Movies will be showing films and running workshops on hoe to make short films through animation and other methods every Wednesday, 6.30pm at Trax starting on 7th June 2006.

Free Bus to Nantgarw
There will be a fully supervised bus every Saturday at 1.00pm ? 5.30pm and every Wednesday at 5.30pm to 10.30pm to Nantgarw Cinema/Bowling Complex. Please Contact James Watkins at the Forum for more information on 01685 724930.

Trax Youth Club
Trax Youth Club, Dowlais is now open 3 nights a week on a Monday 7pm -9pm , Wednesday and Thursday 6.30pm - 8.30pm. If you require any further information please ring the Dowlais Forum.
